Hyde Park Stingrays

Hyde Park Stingrays is a competitive youth swim team. The Stingrays are one of eight teams in the Dutchess and Ulster Swim Organization (DUSO). The swim team season starts with practices in June and culminates with a championship meet the first weekend of August.

Experienced and 1st time swimmers age 18 and under are welcome to join! 

You don't have to be a member of the Hyde Park Swim and Tennis Club to join the swim team or our pre-team.

Younger swimmers not quite ready for the swim team can now join our Pre-Team!

This is for swimmers who are comfortable in the water but do not meet the team swimming requirements. Once a child is able to swim 25 meters unassisted, they no longer qualify for pre-team and are eligible to be on the swim team. Our coaches will make the final determination where is the best fit for each swimmer based on their ability. 

Our Pre-Team swimmers will get their feet wet by having smaller practices and swimming at a few of our home meets.

Pre-Team is not a substitution for Swim Lessons. Ideally they go hand in hand.

Format: 45 minute lessons in small groups broken up into levels.

Offered to both beginner and intermediate swimmers.

*SESSION 1:  6/29 - 7/11

*SESSION 2:  7/13 - 7/24

*SESSION 3: 7/27 - 8/7

Sessions fill quickly-first come first serve policy

STINGRAYS SWIM TEAM FEES*:

Members: $125.00 per swimmer

Non-Members: $225.00 per swimmer

These fees include the required DUSO League insurance fees, dues and fees for the DUSO Championship meet.

STINGRAYS PRE-TEAM FEES*:

Members: $100.00 per swimmer

Non-Members: $100.00 per swimmer

SWIM LESSON FEES*:

Members: $150.00

Non-Members: $225.00

*Payments by debit or credit card are due at the time of registration. There is  a $3 per athlete (per calendar year) fee. Also a 3% processing fee for credit card payments. There is no fee for debit card charges.

The courtesy of a 50% refund will be given to members only in the event of a swimmer’s cancellation up until the first meet/lesson. (Minus the $3 fee and 3% processing fees for credit card payments, These are non-refundable.)

There are NO refunds for weather related changes/cancellations.
